100% FOR MARKETING STUDENTS!
The University Centre Yeovil (UCY) is delighted to announce that students on its Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Certificate course have achieved a 100% pass rate in their first module, compared to a national average of just 51.37%.
The students achieved this excellent result for the first of the course modules, Marketing Essentials. The module introduces the key theories and practices of marketing and can be a challenge for those new to the subject.
The students will now progress to modules on Marketing Information and Research, Stakeholder Marketing and Assessing the Marketing Environment.
The CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing is designed for people in supporting marketing roles, such as marketing assistants and executives, or those who aspire to become a marketer. The students in the current class achieved their top result while working full-time for organisations including local government, builders’ merchants, a laundry and building wholesalers. The course attracts students from across Somerset and Dorset and as far afield as Exeter because the UCY is the only provider of these benchmark professional courses in the area.
Lecturer Brian Doidge said “We are delighted with the result and very pleased that the efforts of this hard working and focussed class have paid off. The students take their work very seriously and have successfully maintained the balance between study and full-time work. This can be a challenge, so this result is a real tribute to them.”
The UCY currently offers four different professional Marketing courses, all validated by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
