BA (Hons) Business Management Practice
This degree will enable students to further develop the professional skills that are relevant to their employment practice. It combines work based and traditional modules, in order to enhance commercial awareness and professional experience, as well as developing students ability to critically analyse workplace related subjects.
Who is this course for?
This course is for those who wish to further develop their existing Business and Management study and experience, by blending their work based learning with more traditional learning within a HE domain. Students will normally be in a full time or part time employment or volunteer role for a minimum of 6 hours a week for the duration of the course. How will I be taught?
This is a part time course delivered over an 18 month period with regular attendance at UCY on one afternoon and one evening per week. A variety of learning approaches have been integrated throughout the programme, with an overall emphasis on active student participation. This will be a mixture of guided learning, group learning and independent learning.How will I be assessed?
All assessment will be governed by the University’s regulations in force at the time and you should expect a mixture of assignments, group work, learning logs, presentations and formal examinations.Where could this course lead?
As a result of completing their course successfully, you should gain considerable competitive advantage in career enhancement, either with your present employer, or through success at interview for new positions. Some students will see this as a natural stepping stone to study at Masters Degree level.Entry Requirements
A popular route to course entry is to have studied for UCY’s Foundation degree in Business & Management, whether by the full-time or part-time method. Students from other business or finance HNDs will be considered, based on a merit/distinction profile. Alternatively, students from other appropriate programmes offering 240 CATS will be considered.
