What were you doing before you came to the UCY?
After Completing A-Levels at a sixth form college, I worked in new car sales and freelance design.

What do you do now?
I currently work for a global computer/music firm, but intend to become a freelance sustainable designer in the future.

What do you like most about your course?
The course is unique in the fact that it focuses on alternative design. We will become innovative designers for a sustainable future.

What do you like most about the UCY?
Smaller group sizes than other universities allow more one to one attention and tighter knit social groups.

What attracted you to the course and the UCY?
A unique course with new modern facilities and a central location which suited my social and working life.

What have you found most challenging during your course?
Working in a design studio for the first time as part of the external placement. I had rapidly learn new skills and ways of coping with real life deadlines.

What is your best memory from your course and time at UCY?
Winning Gold at the European London Starpack awards.

Why would you recommend the UCY?
Yeovil may not be the biggest town, but my three years here have been amazing. I have made fantastic friends and had some of my most enjoyable times here. The Course is amazing and the lecturers have become friends with us all.
