What did you do before coming to the UCY?

I was a Pre-school leader at a small setting in Bridport

What do you do now?
I'm still in the same job  and currently in the second year of study for the Foundation degree in Early Years.

What do you most like about your course?
The UCY is very friendly with supportive staff; it's also convenient as it's relatively close to home.
The course has provided me with a much deeper understanding of children's learning and development that, in turn, has led me to analyse and improve my practice in the workplace.

That sounds a little stilted but it really is true!  I'm far more confident about my practice and feel able to back up my actions with explanations.

What have you found most challenging during your course?
Trying to fit study and assignments in around family, work and other commitments - just about manageable most of the time until something goes wrong!

What would you say to potential students?
There will never be a "right time" so seize your opportunity to do this course while it is right on your doorstep - you won't regret it.
