Case Study

Jen Jacklin
What did you do before coming to the UCY?
All sorts of jobs but my last employment was as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, working with children aged 5-11 yrs.
What do you do now?
I
work two days a week as an Accounts Assistant (pays the bills!!), busy
Mum to an exuberant 11 year old daughter and study like mad into the
wee small hours!!
What do you most like about your course?
The
UCY is a friendly and welcoming place to study. The learning
environment is relaxed and informal allowing for easy relationships
between students and lecturers. The facilities are good, especially the
café – hot chocolates and toasties! – but the top point has to be that
everyone is there to help you and ensure you achieve your best.
The
course is extremely interesting and covers a huge span. It has
certainly widened my horizons and enhanced my power of thinking! The
lecturers have great personalities and offer so much of their energies
into their subjects.
What have you found most challenging during your course?
The work load involves a lot of reading
What would you say to potential students?
An amazing opportunity, on your doorstep, that will challenge and fulfil you both socially and academically
