Forensic Science

Who is this course for? This course is for anyone looking to enter the constantly evolving and ground breaking world of Forensic Science. This course will teach the facts and methods of the biological and chemical sciences which underpin forensic science, as well as the specific methods and applications of forensic science itself, with particular emphasis on general and forensic photography skills.

Introduction to Photography for Forensic Science

Year 2:*

Molecular Genetics
Instrumental Analytical Science
Forensic Examination of materials
Scientific Research Methods
Work Based Learning (Year 2)
Advanced Techniques for Forensic Photography

Entry Requirements

Minimum entry requirements;
•    GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grade C (or equivalent)
•    UCAS Tariff points = 120
•    At least one science based ‘A’ level or
BTEC National Certificate / Diploma in a relevant subject at pass grade level

Mature students with recent relevant work experience in a science area may also be considered.
