Case Study
Jason House
What did you do before coming to the UCY?
After
my GCSE, I searched for an advanced apprenticeship programme that was
based on computing. This was provided by Aerosystems, who supported my
in completing a one year `fast track' BNC IT Practitioners course at
Yeovil College.
What do you do now?
My
employers are now supporting me for one day a week over the next three
years, in taking a Foundation degree in Computing and Internet
Technology.
What do you most like about your course?
Learning
about web development and programming, which I really enjoy. The same
high level of support for my HE studies at the UCY that I had received
for my FE studies at Yeovil College. Excellent computing facilities
and equipment at the UCY.
What do you hope to do in the future?
On
completing my FdSc CIT studies I intend to take up a full time position
with Aerosystems. There is also the option of progressing to an
Honours Degree CIT `top-up' programme at Bournemouth University.
