ILEX - Level 6 Certificate in Law
This is a new course, and replaces the old ILEX Level 6 Single Subject Diploma. This course is best suited for candidates who do not necessarily wish to go on and become full Legal Executives and Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives, but who do require recognition in a specific area of law or legal practice.
What will I study?

• Conveyancing
• Criminal Litigation
• Probate Practice
The Certificate will be endorsed to recognise the area studied eg. ILEX Level 6 Certificate (endorsement: Contract Law)
To achieve an endorsed certificate in Legal Skills, Students must study 2 professional skills units
• Legal Research Skills
• Client Care Skills
Availability of units upon application
How will I be assessed?
The Law or Practice units are assessed by means of closed book examinations usually 3 hours in length. The Professional Skills units will be assessed by means of internally marked assignments which will be moderated externally.
Where could this course lead?
The Certificate is a valuable asset to any professional Paralegals or individual working in a legal firm and specialising in an area of law or legal practice. On completion students may progress to undertake the ILEX Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice.
Entry Requirements
To commence the ILEX Level 6 Diploma, students should have completed the Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law, or have equivalent qualifications.
