ILEX - Level 6 Single Subject Certificate
This course is best suited for candidates who do not necessarily wish to go on and become full Legal Executives and Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives, but who do require recognition in a specific area of law or legal practice.
What will I study?
Students can study one law or practice unit to achieve a Certificate. The Certificate will be endorsed to recognise the area studied e.g. ILEX Level 6 Certificate (endorsement: Contract Law). The following subjects will be offered in 2011/12:
• Contract Law
• Criminal Law
• Law of Tort
How will I be assessed?
Law or Practice units are assessed by means of closed book examinations usually 3 hours in length.
Where could this course lead?
The Certificate is a valuable asset to any professional Paralegals or individual working in a legal firm and specialising in an area of law or legal practice. On completion students may progress to undertake the ILEX Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice.
Entry Requirements
To commence the ILEX Level 6 Diploma, students will normally have completed the Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law, or have equivalent qualifications. However students who can demonstrate an ability to learn at degree level will be considered.
